The entrance gate and the gardens.

Barry was impressed by the fluted cast iron drain pipes with gargoyle like mouths
on the bottoms and real gargoyles at the top. Typical.

This is the ball room's balcony where the Princess, when in her 80's would watch
the dancing.

And the ball room's fire-place, superbly carved, shows 4 scenes from the fantasy
childhood of the Princess' husband. Being of lowly birth she bought him a title
before they married. The ceiling and floor are also very beautifull.

Every castle has its suite of stained glass windows. This is the only one to have
survived. Others are being repaired or being remade from old photographs. They show
4 kings and look down on the ball room.

turret is the kitchens room.

And this is a real gargoyle ready to spout onto unwary passers by. Needs some rain
though.

The kitchen where 15 people worked. It has been mocked up to show a small dining
table with some of the silverware, though dining never took place here.
