We met Paul and Mo in Eastbourne where they were initially living aboard a very
incomplete junk rigged sloop called Ti-Gitu. During the course of the winter
04/05 they completed the build and transformed Ti-Gitu into a spacious and very
desirable live-aboard boat. Mo is a "best selling" author and wrote Lone
Voyager following her lone transatlantic voyages in a replica Spray 33 built by
Paul.
We met Wayne and Angie in May 05 and sailed with them around Brittany and on to
La Rochelle. They plan a circumnavigation in Hitrapia, a beautifully rebuilt Trident
Warrior 35 Mk III. They have a smashing web site which gives recent info relating
to all their ports and stop-overs on route across the Med and on to Turkey.
Onpassage.com is a one-stop resource for cruising yachts worldwide; it provides
information for the experienced blue water sailor as well as for those who are planning
their first passage.
Another Weather site we now use. A free download of the initial application is needed
then files can be downloaded from the internet via WiFi, GPRS, 3G etc. Keeping the
files small means using a mobile phone in an anchorage is a real solution for updated
weather info.
